SIX DEAD, 21 WOUNDED IN EASTLEIGH EXPLOSION

Six people were killed and 21 others seriously injured when three explosives went off in a row in Eastleigh area in Nairobi.
Casualties were rushed to local hospitals for stabilization before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. Thirteen of them were severely wounded with deep cut wounds from flying shrapnel, while others suffered multiple injuries to internal organs.
Casualties who were able to speak to St John Ambulance medics said they heard a loud bang, which was shortly followed by two successive blasts at about 7:30 pm.
This incident comes just a day after another suspected terrorist died in an explosion in the nearby Pangani area after an Improvised Explosive Device he was assembling went off in his house.
